Ewen Cameron has issued an update on James Penrice securing a permanent move to Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Rangers News reported last week that Rangers were ready to step up their interest in Penrice, who is currently at Greek club AEK Athens.
The 27-year-old left-back’s deal does not run out until the summer of 2028, but an exit has not been ruled out this summer.

Ewen Cameron: James Penrice expected to join Rangers
STV Football host Ewen Cameron has claimed that the Light Blues are expected to secure the services of the 27-year-old defender this summer.
The Scotsman was at Hearts last season, but decided to leave for Greece, where he has become an important first-team player.
Even at Tynecastle, Penrice was a key player, making 46 appearances in all competitions for them, scoring two goals and providing seven assists.
Is James Penrice a good signing for Rangers? 🤔
The left-back is on the back of a title-winning campaign, and his performances in Scotland as well as Athens have seen the Gers hierarchy show an interest in him.
With Jayden Meghoma returning to Brentford following his loan spell, Danny Rohl wants another left-back at Ibrox.
Speaking on the STV Football Show about the defender’s move to Ibrox, Cameron said: “I think Penrice is joining them. I think James Penrice is joining them this summer. Won the league with AEK Athens.”

What can Rangers fans expect from Penrice?
Rangers fans will enjoy seeing healthy competition at left-back as Penrice will push Rommens for a regular starting spot.
He will also add to the homegrown quota, which will help significantly with regard to squad registration.
Along with offering cover and a potential rotation option at left-back, the Scottish defender will also offer a set-piece threat and bursts of energy down the left.
Rohl likes his full-backs to attack, and in Penrice, he will get someone who loves getting forward and whipping crosses into the box.
The 27-year-old is someone who will win over fans with his work rate and his past experience in Scottish football will equip him well for the challenges he will face being one of the summer signings at Rangers.
