The Rangers winger was reportedly set to sign on for a year at the Keepmoat Stadium but it’s unclear if this will now be the case.
Talented 19-year-old Middleton sparked rumours when he followed Doncaster on Twitter. Later reports then suggested Middleton was set to move to the club [Daily Record].

But even if the Doncaster move falls through, Rangers and Middleton will surely shift their attention elsewhere.

Grant McCann, 39, joins Hull City after guiding Doncaster to a sixth-placed finish in League One last season.
They were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by Charlton.
The former West Ham, Cheltenham, Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Peterborough and Linfield midfielder signs a 12-month rolling contract at the KCOM Stadium.
