Rangers recent trip to play FC Midtjylland in Denmark was memorable for a number of reasons.
Between a superb 4-2 victory in Herning and the superb welcome fans were given by the Danish side themselves, Rangers fans had a great time. The police even commended the support’s behaviour.
But there’s something else the Bears have taken back home from Denmark. And if you’re of a certain age it should remind you of a certain era.

The song, Welcome to the Party, has been remixed by the likes of popular PCDJs DJ Cammy and DJ Krissy and was big amongst a young Scottish audience 10 to 15 years ago.
It obviously remains so, and some supporters started chanting as Rangers ran riot on the pitch in the MCH Arena.
Naturally, they were having a party.
The media team then played the song at Ibrox at the weekend as they clocked on to supporters adopting it in Denmark.
The infectious chant goes something like:
“Welcome to the party,
Welcome to the party tonight,
We’re gonna fly, up, up to the sky”

If the team going in the same direction this season then something tells us that it won’t be the last time you hear bluenoses sing the chant.
Welcome to the party is half on its way to becoming the motto of the season so far.
After returning from Denmark, Rangers ran riot at Ibrox, demolishing Hibs 6-1 in an emphatic victory.
