Thriving former Rangers midfielder Jamie Barjonas netted the winning goal and bagged the Man of the Match award for Kelty Hearts against Edinburgh City on Saturday.
Barjonas – who made nine senior Rangers appearances – was released by the Gers in June after 14 years at the club.

The 22-year-old then shocked supporters by quickly signing for Kelty Hearts on a one-year deal.
Given that Kelty had only just been promoted to SPFL League Two, it was a big step down for the former Scotland youth international.
However, he later explained that the presence of former Gers B team coach Kevin Thomson was a major factor in his decision to move to New Central Park, as was a desire to play week in week out after a series of unsuccessful loans.
So far, the move is working out for all parties, with Barjonas-inspired Kelty surging to the top of the League Two table.
Ahead of their fourth league game of the season at home to Edinburgh City on Saturday, he’d already landed a Man of the Match award and had received praise from the SPFL for a stunning assist.

And this time around, the no.10 won all three points for his new club, firing home a fine finish from inside the box in the 54th minute.
The former Ger came close to a second in the 77th minute but with Thomson’s side’s defence keeping a clean sheet, the opener proved enough for victory and shortly after the full time whistle, Barjonas was confirmed as the Man of the Match.
“I’m happy to get the goal today, I need to start contributing and hopefully it’s the first of many,” he said during a post-match interview.
With three wins and a draw from their opening four matches, Kelty are top of League Two – one point ahead of second-placed Annan Athletic – as they aim for back-to-back promotions.
Meanwhile, Michael Beale has provided an injury update on two key players ahead of Sunday’s trip to Ross County.
