Talk of Leicester City being interested in Alfredo Morelos has resurfaced today with the Leicester Mercury running a story on the player.
In it, they talk about Morelos hinting his future lies somewhere other than Glasgow. His comments earlier in the week made ominous reading for Gers fans [Scottish Sun].
Many might’ve made their peace with the fact the Colombian’s future lies elsewhere, but it’s interesting this talk of Leicester has resurfaced.

Whether the Chronicle is genuinely in the know or is just putting legs into an old story, it’s hard to say.
But Morelos was certainly linked to Leicester earlier in the season. Now managed by former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, at the time he said he thought someone might’ve been on the wind-up [Leicester Mercury].
It insinuates that perhaps the player isn’t on his wishlist. But with Shinji Okazaki’s contract expiring, they’ll be on the hunt for a physical striker to fill the void.
And even if Leicester City don’t move for the player, he doesn’t have any shortage of suitors. The likes of France’s Marseille [Foot Mercato] have been credited with a strong interest, as has Spain’s Real Betis.

But the striker has always said it is his dream to play in the English Premier League [Daily Record].
And let’s say Leicester don’t make a move, is there another English top flight side that Morelos could be well suited to?
