Alfredo Morelos has provided an update on his future, suggesting “many clubs” are interested in his services.

Whilst the 29-goal Colombian striker admitted there is nothing concrete in place yet, he acknowledged the interest.

And whilst he stressed in the meantime he’s committed to Rangers, he revealed he dreams “of playing a much, much more competitive league”.

“There is a lot of speculation about my possible departure, but there is nothing concrete yet,” said Morelos, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.

“I know that there are many interested clubs asking and as soon as there is something official I will be announcing it.

“But I’m committed to Rangers just now. I’ve had a good season and many clubs are interested and hopefully, everything will be done in the right way.

“I dream of playing in a much better, more competitive league.

“I look at the English Premier League and the Spanish League. The leagues in France and Italy are very big leagues too and very competitive.”

It’s respectful stuff from Morelos, who said he wants everything to “be done in the right way”. But the comments are ominous in the sense they suggest the player could well be moving on.

It’s been great to have Alfredo at the club, and should he get his dream move, he’ll go with fan’s best wishes.

But Rangers have previously suggested they want the better half of £20m for the player, so the price has to be right.

The likes of Real Betis [Football Scotland] and Marseille [Foot Mercato] have most recently been credited with an interest in the striker.
