Sky Sports has confirmed that Rangers and Red Bull Salzburg have completed a deal for Danny Rohl to move to Austria, amid an update on Derek McInnes.
It emerged last week that Salzburg are working on a deal to appoint Rohl as their new head coach, with talks with the Light Blues already underway.
It is now only a matter of time before the former Sheffield Wednesday manager takes the reins in Austria as the Bundesliga giants’ new boss.
In a 3:42 pm breaking news, Sky Sports confirmed that Rangers and Salzburg have ‘completed a deal’ for Rohl to leave Ibrox and join the Austrian outfit.
Now that Danny Rohl seems set to leave Rangers, how would you rate his time at the club?
Rangers receive £2million in compensation for Rohl
The broadcasting giants revealed that Rangers will receive around £2million as compensation for Rohl from Salzburg.
There have been suggestions that the Govan club will pocket as much as £4m for the German tactician, but it appears they will walk away with a seven-figure fee anyway.
It now remains to be seen when Rangers and Salzburg will officially announce the news via their respective websites and social media channels.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports also reported that the Andrew Cavenagh-led club are now finalising a move to appoint McInnes as their new head coach.
The Glasgwegian outfit want the Scottish tactician to sign a three-year contract with them, and both clubs are now working towards finalising an agreement.
What would your concerns be about Derek McInnes replacing Danny Rohl?
McInnes to Ibrox is a matter of time
While Sky Sports maintains that talks remain ongoing between Rangers and Hearts, there is a belief that a deal has already been agreed.
The Gers may be waiting for Salzburg to announce Rohl as their new head coach before they unveil McInnes as their boss for next season.
There are suggestions that the 54-year-old may already be looking to raid Hearts, with moves for Cammy Devlin and Claudio Braga mooted.
Meanwhile, this will be a huge blow for Hearts, who reportedly will only receive a six-figure fee as compensation.
Jambos fan and STV Radio host Ewen Cameron stormed off set after tensions boiled over amid a debate about McInnes’ move to Rangers.
