Ex-Rangers director Ross Wilson is set to play a role in Alfredo Morelos’ imminent reunion with Ryan Kent at Fenerbahce.
The former Ibrox sporting director is now at Nottingham Forest and is close to striking a deal to sign ex-Chelsea striker and Fenerbahce star Michy Batshuayi.
That’s according to the likes of Fabrizio Romano, who has also claimed that this has freed up a slot in the Fenerbahce squad for Alfredo Morelos.
The Rangers theme in this series of transfers is then further intensified by Ryan Kent having moved to Fenerbahce earlier in the summer.
Alfredo Morelos & Ryan Kent at Fenerbahce?
Both Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos were considered Rangers’ most important attacking outlets for years and now they’re about to reunite at Fenerbahce.
Reports of Fenerbahce interest in the Colombian striker spread earlier in the week with the striker now being spotted at Istanbul airport.
MORE RANGERS STORIES
Set to undergo a series of medical tests, should everything go to plan then we suspect Alfredo Morelos will go on to be Fenerbahce player.
It comes after a substantial summer of investment at the Istanbul club, who’ve also added the likes of Dusan Tadic and Edin Dzeko in the last few months.

The move also brings an end to much speculation over Alfredo Morelos’ future, with Serie A Cagliari the latest team to be mentioned as potential suitors.
There has also said to have been interest from Mexico and Russia but as the transfer window prepared to close, there were fears the player was struggling to find a club.
Ross Wilson at centre of deal
Now, it appears Alfredo Morelos is set to link up with Ryan Kent at Fenerbahce and the role of Ross Wilson is somewhat ironic.
The controversial former Ibrox sporting director was the subject of protests from the stands for a string of failed windows at the club.
Ross Wilson was also widely criticised for failing to manage the contract situations of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent whilst they were at Rangers.

Being the head of the club’s recruitment, it was the ex-Southampton man in the firing line for the two players leaving for nothing in the summer.
Whatever the case, should Alfredo Morelos’ move to Fenerbahce go through then Rangers fans will wish both him and Ryan Kent all the best in Turkey.
