Chermiti was Idrissa Gueye’s teammate at Everton and has sent a message to the midfielder following his departure from the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Gueye was out of contract at the Toffees, but remained in talks with the club over a new deal.

The two parties could not strike a deal, which meant that the Senegal international parted ways with the Merseyside outfit for good.
This saw Chermiti share the exit announcement video on his Instagram story, and he also left a comment praising the 36-year-old as a person as well as a player.
Chermiti wrote: “What a guy. What a player.”

Rangers take on West Ham at Ibrox on Sunday, which will be their final pre-season friendly of the summer.
Lawrence Shankland moved to Ibrox this summer and has arguably leapfrogged Chermiti in the striking pecking order.
