Rangers look set to welcome Greek giants Olympiakos to Ibrox this summer for a friendly clash – with Gers-linked Korean midfielder Hwang In-Beom currently in line to make the clash.
According to the Scottish Sun, which is citing claims in Greece, Rangers are set to welcome Olympiakos as part of a currently hectic pre-season schedule of friendlies.

The suggestion is that Rangers have invited the Greek giants to Glasgow at the end of July, as the club prepare for the season to kick off again on the 5th of August.
The Rangers Olympiakos friendly comes after confirmation of Allan McGregor’s testimonial clash with Newcastle United (19/07) and a friendly with club partners HSV (22/07) at Ibrox.
Rangers have also confirmed that the club will travel to Germany on the 29th of July for a pre-season friendly with Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.
Hwang In-Beom to visit Rangers with Olympiakos?
Whilst a friendly with Olympiakos is certainly an exciting prospect for Rangers fans, the clash presumably getting the club’s new players ready for some tough challenges in the Champions League, a potential summer visit from Hwang In-Beom will also turn a few heads.
Rangers have been extensively mentioned in transfer reports all around Greece throughout 2023, with a number of names linked to Ibrox with none yet to come to fruition.
Hwang In-Beom, who played at the Qatar World Cup with Korea, is one such name who has routinely been mentioned as having been scouted by Rangers earlier in the season.
But Rangers are not the only side who are said to have scouted or held an interest in the 26-year-old midfielder, with beaten Champions League finalists Inter also previously mentioned.

Should the Rangers interest in the Olympiakos star be legitimate then the Ibrox side will also have to reportedly cough up to sign the player with some reports reckoning the Greeks value their prized asset at £13m.
As Rangers reportedly line up a friendly, Olympiakos finished third in the Greek Super League last season and have just appointed Spanish coach Diego Martinez as their new manager.
