Rangers have begun to formulate their plans for pre-season, as Danny Rohl would want to get his players up to speed ahead of the new campaign.

There will be players at the World Cup who will be allowed to join the camp late, but for most of the Gers’ first-teamers, they will be expected to be there on day one.

The Light Blues are expected to take on clubs from different countries, potentially outside Glasgow, giving Rohl a good way to test the calibre of his squad.

Should Liam Kelly be the first-choice keeper for Rangers next season?

He has signed a two-year contract extension…

Rangers line up West Ham as potential pre-season opponents at Ibrox

According to Four Lads Had a Dream, the Gers are considering a pre-season friendly with West Ham in the coming weeks.

The Hammers recently faced the ignominy of relegation from the Premier League and will be playing in the Championship next season.

Despite that, they are still among the top 20 richest football clubs in the world and won a European trophy a few seasons ago.

Would you want Rangers to compete in the Europa League or the Conference League next season?

Money will be more in the Europa League, but the Conference League gives you a better chance of a European trophy…

The Gers’ fixture at home is likely to be on 26 July, and it seemed like Coventry City were going to be their likely opponents.

However, that has now cooled, and Rangers could be facing the London Stadium outfit in what should be an exciting game.

Thus far, there is no confirmation from either club, but talks are ongoing over it potentially taking place.

What Danny Rohl will want in place before the West Ham game

The Hammers game is expected to be six weeks away, and the squad could have a very different look to it by then.

Rohl wants to bring in several defenders, and there could be at least two new players in defence for the match against West Ham.

There could also be a few players currently at the club who will have parted ways for good.

Which Rangers star will fare the best at the World Cup?

The Gers have six players at the tournament.

Nicolas Raskin (top left), Lawrence Shankland (top right), Findlay Curtis (bottom left) and John Souttar (bottom right) are representing Rangers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Rangers have four players in the Scotland squad.

Nicolas Raskin could leave Ibrox should he have a good World Cup and interest in his services increases.

That would force the Light Blues into signing a quality midfielder, and they may even ramp up their pursuit of Lewis Ferguson.

Money is there to be spent, but they will not be shelling out crazy sums on one player.
