Rangers insider claims reported £7m Ryan Kent transfer is "done"

It seems like Rangers fans have been begging the club to ‘announce Ryan Kent’ for an age.

Since the transfer window opened – and Ryan Kent returned to parent club Liverpool – the Ibrox club’s supporters have been begging their team to sign the player.

And now reputable club insider Four Lads Had a Dream are claiming the only thing left when it comes to this deal is to give the club’s want they want – an announcement.

News broke this morning that Rangers had agreed on a fee with Liverpool over the player, with the figure reportedly sitting somewhere around the £7m mark [Paul Joyce].

Should Kent sign for that much, he’ll be the club’s most expensive signing since Mikel Arteta in 2003 and the second most expensive in Rangers history behind Tore Andre Flo.

It is a real statement of intent from the Ibrox club and one which shows just how much Steven Gerrard rates the 22-year-old winger.

There is of course the notion that Kent’s value will increase as he develops, but one of the major attractions in this deal concerns Kent’s attitude towards coming to Ibrox.

The wee man was said to have his “heart set” [Sky Sports] on a move to Ibrox despite reported interest from Club Brugge [Sky Sports] and Leeds United.

Now, according to Four Lads, it looks like we’re just waiting on an announcement from the club.
