Rangers’ transfer business has been pulled apart since the window closed on Monday night.
Gers had a damp squib of a January window with just the one signing to bolster their squad, centre-back Rafael Fernandes coming in on loan from Lille.
It has since emerged that Rangers tried to sign a winger by launching a deadline day busting move for a loan deal, but were not able to get it done.
It is believed this is because the player’s club were not able to get a replacement in and so were not willing to sanction his exit.
With days to go, Philippe Clement admitted Gers were in need of additions but wasn’t able to get his wish.
All eyes are now on the summer window with hopes high things are being saved for then before building a squad that can challenge for the title. Lyall Cameron has already signed on a pre-contract from Dundee.

Craig Moore on character required at Rangers
And Craig Moore is in no doubt about the one quality the recruitment team should be looking for in prospective new players.
The Aussie former defender launched a passionate defence of Cyriel Dessers and insists he has the character to play for Rangers.
And that is what any player coming into Ibrox needs to have, he says.
Moore told the Daily Record: “He’s an instinctive striker. But when there’s a little bit too much time, then his success rate hasn’t been as high as he’d like.
“So that’s led to the supporter base getting on his back a little bit at times. However, I think he’s a really, really genuine player. He’s very honest.
“Good, bad or indifferent, he turns up and he gives it absolutely everything. So, as much as I’ve kind of seen the frustration he gives the fans, it’s certainly not through lack of desire, hunger or effort.
“And the thing I like about him is that mental strength. His ability to shrug off the poor moments and go again. We’ve all seen players with better profiles struggle at Ibrox who end up leaving the club with a whimper because they’ve not been able to shoulder the weight of the jersey.
“I know the guys in charge of recruitment at the club will be looking at all different kinds of metrics when they are looking at a player’s profile. But I think the biggest quality needed at this football club is character.
“Once you find people made of the right stuff, then then look for all the technicality areas and all that sort of stuff. But if you’re not a strong character, you can’t survive at this club.”
Moore on Maeda miss and recruitment
It comes after Moore revealed Rangers missed the chance to sign Daizen Maeda before he went to Rangers, as he questioned the club’s recruitment approach.
He told Go Radio: “I tried to get Ross Wilson on the bait.
”I was like listen, ‘I know the player has been spoken about with regards to Celtic Ross, Kevin (Muscat) is one of my best mates, he’s given me an unbelievable run down on this player, I think he’d be a great fit for the football club’.
”He come back and said ‘look obviously we know of the player, I’m sure Ange will know all about him as well’.
”It probably wasn’t the answer I was wanting. I was wanting ‘OK well how do we do something and make that possible’.
”When I was listening to (Brendan Rodgers speaking about Maeda) it was like listening to Musky all that time ago.
”Because the explanation and the brief that was given was exactly the same.
”He could’ve been at Rangers. Come on Ross Wilson, what you doing?
”At the end of the day, sometimes as an agent or a pundit we think we’ve got all the best ideas in the world that you maybe take to a football club.
”End of the day I understand the process and I never take things personal. I did think it was a great option though.”
