Motherwell fans unveiled a banner at their rollercoaster match against Dundee today which seemingly takes a dig at reportedly Rangers bound Jake Hastie.
The talented 20-year-old wideman has been the subject of much speculation over a move to Ibrox. Motherwell boss Steve Robinson hinted a deal was done in revealing statements to Clyde One.
And Motherwell fans have clearly taken offence to the player’s decision by excluding him from the banner.

The banner reads “it’s magic you know, David Turnbull and Campbell”. The song, to the tune of Pilot song “Magic”, is normally sung “it’s magic you know, Hastie, Turnbull and Campbell”.
The sly dig was clearly aimed at the Rangers prospect. Hastie was also left out the Motherwell squad in their 4-3 win over Dundee. It shows how petty the Motherwell are being about the entire thing.
Had Hastie moved to any other club, would there be such a backlash? The goalscoring wideman has been linked with Rangers consistently over the last month and seems to have landed his dream move.
But instead of being happy for the player moving on to bigger and better things, there is a real tinge of bitterness from the Fir Park support.
The whole thing has shades of Killie fan’s angst over Jordan Jones signing a pre-contract with Rangers earlier in the year.

It taints what has been a superb second half of the season for young Hastie. The Motherwell Academy player has hit seven goals since January for the Lanarkshire outfit.
And if you thought the Hastie banner was bad, just imagine the scenes if we also managed to sign their other Academy prospect David Turnbull…
