Motherwell manager Steve Robinson has dropped a massive hint that Rangers are on the verge of signing Jake Hastie.
The 20-year-old wideman has been the subject of intense transfer speculation surrounding Rangers for a month or so. It’s gone from on [Football Insider], to off [Evening Times], to seemingly back on again.
Steven Gerrard also admitted Rangers were interested in his press conference leading up the Aberdeen match. And a dejected sounding Robinson then suggested his player was signing elsewhere. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.
Lee Robinson told Clyde One that Hastie “won’t for sign for me…I believe Jake’s signed for another club…it’s not for me to announce”.
It appears Steve Robinson has done precisely that. He doesn’t sound upset about all this at all.
Clyde One then reported that the deal was done a little while later. Without giving any details about the deal and how long Hastie had signed, it looks like the young Scottish forward will be at Ibrox next year.

It’s a move that’s been given the thumbs up by ex-Rangers captain Lee McCulloch,
Should the move be confirmed by Rangers, the youngster will join Jordan Jones as another a pre-contract signing at Rangers.
