Yesterday, Alfredo Morelos’ agent sparked some fans into panic with deleted tweets and cryptic messages. Today at the Rangers Training Camp in Tenerife, the striker seemed unfazed.
Why was the striker joining up late? Rumours have suggested he was given extra time off for his performances at the end of the season.
Whatever the reason, he looked happy as Larry to be with the squad in Spain earlier today.

It still didn’t stop a few Rangers fans fearing the worst. For many, the message is simple. Lose Morelos, and lose any chance of 55 this year.
Not that the young Colombian – who’s transfer value was increased to £2.7m recently by Transfermarkt – is likely to be here forever.

Alfredo Morelos will eventually move on from Rangers

Morelos, still only 22, spoke of the interest in him to the Colombian press last month. It’s hardly surprising. The striker has scored 20 goals by Christmas and taking in a similar haul come May will probably put him in the history books.
This talk of interest is something Gerrard has come to terms with. Even if he and Mark Allen are confident of keeping him for this window.
But why should or would Morelos want to leave now? He’s adored by the fans, he’s playing well, and he’ll want to crush any vendetta against him under the weight of silverware. The former HJK Helsinki forward strikes me as someone who doesn’t back down from a challenge.

And with the combative striker’s dream being to play in the Premier League, who better to learn from than one of the competition’s legendary strikers in Jermain Defoe? The 36-year-old striker also joined up with his new teammates at the Rangers Training Camp in Tenerife today.
That said, there’s still plenty of time in the window left to shatter the hope we have to retain Morelos.
But any panic or rumour about an immediate exit appear short-lived.
