Morelos’ agent Jonne Lindblom might’ve just dropped a huge hint about Alfredo Morelos’ future at Ibrox.
Lindblom runs the Scandinavian office for sports agency World in Motion and looks after the Colombian’s affairs. This morning, he left a cryptic tweet that hinted at the future of one of his players.
And it won’t exactly fill Rangers fans with hope.

The agent said “Exciting things are happening” before including suggestive emojis and the hashtag, #transferwindow.
Morelos’ agent then deleted the tweet. He does of course have other players and this could be nothing to do with the Colombian.
Morelos has been a major part of how Rangers play all season and it’d be a shame to see him go so soon. The general consensus is that it’s going to be incredibly difficult to keep hold of the player long term.
But in the short-term, he is key to our title chances this season. However, Rangers have to manage this correctly and I think there are two main things to this. Firstly, if someone comes in offering over £15-20m, Rangers will have to take it.

It’s a monumental amount of money and can help us restructure going forward. It would be a shame if that in turn dented our title chances. You’d need to expect someone else would come in.
Secondly, Morelos can be a very huffy player when things aren’t going right. If you think it’s bad just now, imagine what he’d be like if we turned down his dream move?
Whatever happens, the decision will be in the best interests of the club. And the backroom staff don’t strike me as people who want to keep players at Ibrox against their will.
Even if Gerrard is desperate to retain his services.
That said, the signing of Jermain Defoe offers a bit of a buffer for the Ibrox club should Morelos leave.
What happens, this situation is certainly one to watch over the coming weeks.
