After last night’s Steven Davis interview with RangersTV, all eyes were on the lookout for one man only, today.
Jermain Defoe.
Ever since a Sky Sports report suggested that a deal had been agreed with Bournemouth for his services, Bears have been at fever pitch.
After all, only six men in the history of the Premier League have scored more goals than this guy.
He may be 36, but he’s as proven as goal scorers come, and hungry for first team football.

He looked pretty happy about the whole thing too.

As expected, it didn’t take long for the comments to start rolling in, and it’s fair to say the supporters are happy about the developments.

Everyone clearly recognises what a massive signing this is for the club.
It’s not guaranteed that Defoe will be a success, but if you look back through his 20-year professional career, he has rarely disappointed.
All that’s left now is an interview.
Preferably, one that references number 55 coming home.
