Matt Polster has been awarded a work permit and should finalise his move to Rangers directly, according to the Scottish Sun.
The ex-Chicago Fire utility man originally joined the club on trial at the beginning of the month. After impressing, Gerrard and co wanted to take a closer look at him in Tenerife.
Now it seems as if Rangers have got their man after any potential issues with a work permit were resolved.

He would join loan signings Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis at the club, whilst Glen Kamara and Jordan Jones signed pre-contracts earlier in the window.

Rangers also completed the signing of former Liverpool youth goalkeeper Andy Firth.
Liverpool fan Polster will also join up with his “childhood idol” in Steven Gerrard should the deal go through. The midfielder described the Rangers manager as “the most legendary red of all time”.
