Crystal Palace sign Jordan Ayew amid Rangers' Alfredo Morelos talk

One of Alfredo Morelos’ reported suitors may well have moved on from the striker after Crystal Palace announced the signing of Jordan Ayew.
Roy Hodgson’s side was linked to Alfredo Morelos by Twitter account Rincon Escoses at the beginning of July. This claim was then backed up by journalist Keith Jackson.
But the Eagles appear to have moved on from their interest in Rangers’ Colombian talisman, opting instead to move for Swansea’s 27-year-old Ghanian forward.

Palace’s move for Jordan Ayew will come as a relief for Rangers fans who will be hoping the Ibrox club can retain the services of Alfredo Morelos.
The Colombian striker hit 30 goals last season and has already got four in this one. Don’t bank against him breaking that tally this campaign.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has said he hopes it’s a big season for Alfredo both for Rangers and the player personally.
The likes of West Ham [Daily Star], who’ve just shelled out £45m on Sebastien Haller, and Eintracht Frankfurt [Daily Record], who received that amount, are both still credited with an interest.

But as we prepare to enter the final month of the transfer window, Morelos remains a Rangers player.

And until a bid befitting Rangers value is made, that will remain the case.
