Crystal Palace are said to have made contact with Alfredo Morelos’ agent over the Premier League outfit’s interest in the striker, according to reports.

Spanish language Scottish football site Rincon Escoses is claiming that the Eagles have spoken to Morelos’ agent Jonne Lindblom about their interest in the player.

The story has been picked up by various other news outlets but there is no suggestion of an official bid.

Translated into English, the message posted on the Rincon Escoces Twitter says:

“The representative of Alfredo Morelos has conveyed in #Rangers recent hours the interest of Crystal Palace by the Colombian striker.

“The player stated in several statements that his wish is to play in the Premier League.”

Talk over Alfredo Morelos’ future appears originally appeared to have dried up, with the player looking happy in training and no reports of any interest.

But if there is concrete interest on the side of Alfredo Morelos, then the club may be forced to listen.

Rangers value the forward at close to £20m and Steven Gerrard has said repeatedly the club will not humour nonsense bids for the forward.

Could the megabucks of the Premier League tempt both the club and the player?

Alfredo Morelos has been reported to have said that he either wants to play in the Premier League or the Champions League with suggestions he won’t force a move for an unfair price [Daily Record].
