Oli McBurnie is never slow to nail his colours to the mast, and it was the same again as Rangers signed George Edmundson.
The lanky Swansea striker simply replied “55” as the Ibrox club unveiled new signing Edmundson on Instagram.

Naturally, it had fans replying to the striker in their droves. But is signing Oli McBurnie a legitimate possibility should we move other players on?
Alfredo Morelos was the subject of intense transfer speculation at the end of last season. The likes of Marseille [Foot Mercato], Betis [Football Scotland] and Newcastle are all credited with an interest.
But after a high-profile clash with Scott Brown in an Old Firm, Morelos lost his place in the Colombia side for the Copa America. He may well have lost a big move this season too.
Kyle Lafferty is another who’s been hotly tipped for a move away. The Northern Irishman has been linked with Apollon Limassol [Scottish Sun] after a sub-par season in royal blue.
It means there will likely be at least one opening for a striker, and Oli McBurnie may well fit the profile.
Currently with Championship Swansea, McBurnie 24 goals in 44 games last year. It’s an impressive return for the 23-year-old.
But any Rangers move would most certainly cost. Premiership new boys Sheffield United are reportedly interested in the player.

Swansea are unlikely to let the striker leave for peanuts either.
Whilst there’s every chance he could wind up at Ibrox one day – unless we sell Morelos – it’s unlikely we’ll be able to afford the striker.
And even then, is the Scotsman a step back from the Colombian?
