Brazilian striker Danilo has been dropping some Rangers transfer clues on Twitter as the Ibrox club reportedly step up their hunt for the Feyenoord forward.

The 24-year-old striker has been busy on social media in the last few days with a series of posts which has had the Rangers support reading between the lines.

Firstly, Danilo took to Twitter to post an image of himself looking across the sea, presumably from the Netherlands, where one suspects he’s casting his glances towards the UK, Scotland and perhaps even Rangers.

Accompanied by a set of rolling eyes – a classic hint emoji in the world of social media – and some crashing waves, you’ll forgive Rangers fans for indulging in the post online.

Danilo wouldn’t stop posting on Twitter there either, with the reported Rangers target and devout Christian taking to the platform and making yet another hint at the Ibrox club’s direction.

Appearing to leave his fate up to God, the Feyenoord striker quoted the Bible with Jeremiah 29:11: You have a purpose and amazing destiny. Let’s hope he’s set to fulfil it at Ibrox.

Danilo takes to Twitter amid talk of Rangers bid

It’s not the first time the Rangers support has been left analysing the Twitter behaviour of Danilo, who appeared to like a series of Tweets suggesting that he should move to Ibrox.

All of this would back up claims that the striker is pushing Feyenoord for a move to Rangers, Danilo seemingly having his heart set on a link-up with Michael Beale in Glasgow.

According to reports in the Netherlands, Rangers have launched a fresh bid for Danilo after having an earlier move rejected a few weeks ago.

This is believed to be closer to the Eredivisie champions’ asking price with the Daily Record claiming the Dutch side are holding out for around £6.5m for the striker.

With Antonio Colak now out the door and Rangers to bank a cool £2.5m from the sale of the Croatian to Parma, there’s both a gap in the squad and money in the bank to go and get Danilo.

And if the striker’s Twitter activity is anything to go by, it appears Danilo himself is eager for a move to Rangers.
