Rangers have launched a new bid for Feyenoord striker Danilo as Michael Beale prepares to get his man in the Brazilian forward.

According to 1908 in the Netherlands, the Ibrox side are now “closer to the market-based price” of the 24-year-old Brazilian, who netted 14 times for the Dutch champions last season.

The report also claims that as Rangers once again bid for Danilo, the striker is a player that Michael Beale “adores enormously” with the manager lining up his eighth signing of the season.

The move comes after Rangers reportedly had a £3.5m bid for Danilo rejected earlier in the window with the club already bolstering its frontline with Sam Lammers (Atalanta), Abdallah Sima (Brighton) and Cyriel Dessers (Cremonese).

Rangers are also moving for Danilo at a time when another striker is said to be shipping out of Ibrox with Antonio Colak set to move to Italy and Parma.

With Rangers set to recoup up to £2.5m for the Croatian striker – who netted 18 times last season – Antonio Colak has been spotted in Italy as a deal nears its conclusion.

And the ex-Parma and Malmo man prepares to move out of the club, Colak isn’t the only Rangers forward now being linked with the exit door.

Zambian attacker Fashion Sakala is another being linked with a move out of Rangers, the inconsistent forward reportedly the subject of £4m interest from Saudi Arabia.

A bid for Danilo comes as Rangers revamp their squad this summer under Michael Beale this summer with seven signings already coming into the club.

On top of the aforementioned forward additions, Rangers have also signed goalkeeper Jack Butland (Crystal Palace), full-back Dujon Sterling (Chelsea), midfielder Kieran Dowell (Norwich) and most recently, centre-back Leon Balogun (QPR).

Michael Beale hinted at the signing of Danilo earlier in the summer and with the Rangers manager having links to Brazil, it appears this latest bid might just nudge us closer to the striker.
