Vanja Dragojevic will arrive in Glasgow on Friday as he appears all set to complete his move to Ibrox, Rangers News has been told.

Rangers agreed a fee with FK Partizan for the 20-year-old and are set to pay £4.7m for him.

He will become the seventh transfer of this summer and the third new midfielder who’ll arrive at Ibrox following Cammy Devlin and Dan Neil.

Rangers set to announce Vanja Dragojevic’s transfer by next week

Vanja Dragojevic will be arriving imminently for his medical, but an official announcement is not likely this week, Rangers News understands.

If there are no last-minute complications, the deal will be made official by next week, and it remains to be seen if he will be available for the game against St Etienne.

The match will be played at Ibrox on 22 July, and if everything is finalised, he could be unveiled to the fans ahead of that one.

Which formation should Derek McInnes use at Rangers?

Given the players he's got so far, there are a number of ways that the team can play…

Derek McInnes confirmed that multiple deals are being worked on ahead of the game, so there is a chance of another player also being confirmed.

That player could be Jens Hjerto-Dahl, as the Light Blues are still working on striking an agreement with Tromso.

However, things are not as advanced as Dragojevic, as the two clubs have not yet agreed on a transfer fee, and Cardiff City are also keen on signing him.

Why is Dragojevic so highly coveted at the age of 20?

There undoubtedly is a lot of hype for Dragojevic, even though he is still a 20-year-old.

He became Partizan’s vice captain in no time and has even worn the armband despite making his senior debut in 2025.

Due to his performances in the domestic league, he has also been called up to the Serbian national team.

He has played two games for the senior side, a substitute appearance against Cape Verde, as well as a start against Mexico.

Dragojevic has been consistent in the Super Liga, contributing with timely goals and assists to become a key player for FK Partizan.

Rangers are signing a player whose value is likely to increase five times in the next 18 months, provided he does not get injured.
