Rangers appear all set to complete yet another signing this summer, taking their total arrivals to seven for the window.

Derek McInnes saw five new players join following his arrival, with Lawrence Shankland signing when Danny Rohl was still the manager.

The Light Blues boss has had a chance to work with his new signings in pre-season as he builds a squad that can potentially win the league next season.

Which formation should Derek McInnes use at Rangers?

Given the players he's got so far, there are a number of ways that the team can play…

Vanja Dragojevic set to be next signing for Rangers

McInnes confirmed, following the 2-2 draw against Johor Darul Ta’zim, that they are working on getting a few deals over the line before the pre-season friendly against St Etienne.

While he did not take any names, Steven Clifford, an Ibrox insider who runs the Four Lads Had a Dream website, claims that Vanja Dragojevic is set to be the next player through the door.

Rangers News reported that Dragojevic was flying in for his medical, and it looks like everything is in place for his announcement.

The club will be paying Partizan £4.7m for his services, and he will become the seventh signing of the transfer window.

The 20-year-old had a release clause of over £12m, but the Light Blues managed to bypass that by negotiating it down.

Dragojevic told Partizan that he wants to leave and the club did not stand in his way.

On X, Clifford wrote: “‘We are still looking to do a few bits before St Etienne.’

“There is a lot more to happen in and out. Patience is needed but Dragojevic is next to arrive.

“A very positive interview.”

Is Dragojevic the final midfielder signing for Derek McInnes?

McInnes wants to bring in another midfielder following the arrival of the Serbian.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl’s transfer is still on, but they need to reach an agreement quickly with Tromso.

Cardiff are also keen on signing the 20-year-old, but know that the Light Blues are the midfielder’s priority.

However, that does not mean that they can keep waiting to sign him and need to act quickly.
