Wrexham attacking midfielder Josh Windass has been linked with a move to Rangers this summer.
The Englishman was at Ibrox for two years between 2016 and 2018 before leaving for English side Wigan Athletic.
Wrexham want Windass to stay, but it is understood that a move to the Light Blues cannot be ruled out at this stage.
Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔
Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!
Josh Windass might have been considering opportunity to return to Rangers
Speaking on talkSPORT with the rest of his panel, Simon Jordan revealed that he was talking to Windass about his future.
The former Crystal Palace owner claims that there was a perception that the 32-year-old had the opportunity to return to Rangers and that it was something he was considering.
However, Jordan did not want to elaborate further as the English attacker is contracted to Wrexham.
What would your concerns be about Derek McInnes replacing Danny Rohl?
His deal at the Racecourse Ground does not run out until 2028, so the Welsh club are not compelled to cash in on him this summer.
They want him to continue at the club and help them in their quest to secure promotion to the Premier League next season.
Jordan said: “I was talking to Josh Windass on the plane. There was a perception that he might have been potentially considering an opportunity to go to Rangers.”

How can Derek McInnes get the best out of Windass at Ibrox?
While Windass’ return to Ibrox seems improbable, stranger things have happened in football, and it would be premature to rule it out.
With Derek McInnes set to be the Rangers manager, it will then be his responsibility to get the best out of the Englishman.
He would most likely deploy the 32-year-old as the number 10 in a 4-2-3-1 system, as he is a good dribbler and can also contribute with goals when needed.
The Light Blues do have two strikers who would expect to start regularly in Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti, so if Chermiti is to be accommodated in that lineup, McInnes may even deploy a diamond.
Alternatively, Windass could be signed for his overall dressing room presence and be an impact player rather than a regular starter.
