Derek McInnes appears all set to replace Danny Rohl as the new Rangers manager ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Rangers News exclusively broke the story that a deal had been agreed between Rohl and RB Salzburg, and that the Light Blues will be due £4m in compensation, with all things included.
Shortly after, McInnes reached an agreement with Rangers to take over the reins and return to Ibrox, this time not as a player, but in the dugout.
Now that Danny Rohl seems set to leave Rangers, how would you rate his time at the club?
Ryan Stevenson fumes at Hearts for Derek McInnes and Lawrence Shankland joining Rangers
Ryan Stevenson, a BBC pundit and Hearts fan, is unsurprisingly annoyed by the fact that McInnes is leaving for Rangers.
This comes just a few weeks after their captain and best player, Lawrence Shankland, also left for Ibrox.
Things are undoubtedly all over the place at Tynecastle as they need to hire a new manager and also replace their leader and talisman.
Stevenson is embarrassed by his former side and believes such behaviour has turned them into a feeder club.
Should Lawrence Shankland be named the Rangers captain?
Colin Hendry believes he deserves the armband right away…
He told the Daily Record: “I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but Hearts are sleepwalking towards a disastrous season.
“Losing Lawrence Shankland, the talisman, captain and goalscorer, to Rangers was bad enough.
“But to then allow the manager to leave for the same club without so much as putting up a fight?
“Hearts are turning into a feeder club. It’s embarrassing.
“Listen, from a neutral point of view, I understand why Derek McInnes and Shankland have gone. We all know they are Rangers supporters and it’s a massive club, but from a Hearts point of view, I’m livid.
“It’s been toothless. Not a word from any of the board over the last few days.”

When will McInnes be announced as Rangers manager?
Everything has been agreed in terms of McInnes being named the next Rangers manager, and the announcement could be made at any time.
The Light Blues are probably waiting for RB Salzburg to finalise the deal and announce Rohl as their manager.
What would your concerns be about Derek McInnes replacing Danny Rohl?
The Gers cannot announce a manager when they currently have one, as the German is still officially on the books at Ibrox.
A small fraction of the compensation Salzburg are paying Rangers has been given to Hearts for McInnes.
The announcement should be made any time this week, giving the new Light Blues manager plenty of time to get his squad ready for next season.
