Rangers have reached an agreement with Hearts manager Derek McInnes to replace the outgoing Danny Rohl.

Rohl has agreed a deal to join RB Salzburg, with the Austrian outfit holding successful talks with the Light Blues over the last few days.

Salzburg will be paying the Gers compensation for the German, with an official announcement now on the cards.

What would your concerns be about Derek McInnes replacing Danny Rohl?

Rangers agree Derek McInnes deal with formal steps now left

The Gers have reached an agreement with Derek McInnes to become their new manager, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The reliable journalist has claimed that while formal steps are still left to be completed, the deal has been done.

This comes right after Rohl reached an agreement to join RB Salzburg, with the Light Blues wasting no time in hiring his replacement.

Now that Danny Rohl seems set to leave Rangers, how would you rate his time at the club?

Rangers were considering four different managers, but the Hearts boss was always the favourite to replace the German should he have left.

What helped the Ibrox outfit is the fact that McInnes, as well as Andrew Cavenagh and Jim Gillespie, are currently in Boston.

They are all set to be in the stands to watch the World Cup game between Scotland and Haiti, but seem to have reached an agreement ahead of that contest.

Matthias Kaltenbach and Sascha Lense to follow Danny Rohl out the exit door

Matthias Kaltenbach and Sascha Lense, the assistant manager and the first-team performance manager, respectively, will also be parting ways with the club, according to the Rangers Review.

The duo joined Rangers and were officially confirmed as part of Rohl’s coaching staff shortly after he was announced as the manager.

Lense worked with the German manager at Sheffield Wednesday and, before that, was part of Ralf Rangnick’s coaching staff at Manchester United.

Kaltenbach came up the ranks at Hoffenheim, spending six years as the assistant coach and working with Julian Nagelsmann, who is now the Germany head coach.

Following that, he joined Ajax in 2022, where he served as the assistant coach to Alfred Schreuder.

Their exits likely mean that they will be joining Rohl in Austria, while McInnes will be bringing in a few of his coaches from Hearts.
