Rangers’ reported pursuit of Danish winger Andreas Skov Olsen has taken a fresh twist amid Bologna links to Aberdeen star and Scotland talent Calvin Ramsay.

Skov Olsen turns out for the Serie A side who’re looking for Dons youngster Ramsay to follow in the footsteps of ex-Hearts kid Aaron Hickey, who is on fine form in Italy.

But according to reports coming out of the country, the cash-strapped club will need to raise funds before they can plunge for the 18-year-old Aberdeen right-back.

Seemingly originating in Sky Italia, the claims have been picked up by the likes of the Scotsman and other prominent media in the last few hours.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Rangers have been extensively linked with a move for Andreas Skov Olsen over the last few seasons – even during the player’s time at FC Nordsjælland – with reports in Italy suggesting a €5m bid had been lodged.

But those claims were dismantled by Ibrox club insiders Heart & Hand who reported that Rangers had told them that no official bid had been made for the Danish international.

Since then, reports surrounding the winger have certainly cooled but Heart & Hand were clear that should circumstance change, then so might any proposed Rangers interest.

But when it comes to raising funds for the potential transfer of Calvin Ramsay, Bologna could also look towards ex-Rangers boss and Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard.

But that move may well have been shelved amid Villa’s reported £20m+ move for Everton star and French international left-back Lucas Digne.

Meanwhile, one frozen-out Rangers star could be on the move this month as an ex-Premier League “admirer” reportedly prepares an approach.
