Despite lifting the Serie A championship last season – and swatting aside Rangers in the Champions League – Italian coach Luciano Spalletti left the club at the end of the campaign.

In has come Spanish coach Rudi Garcia and Napoli are now 5th in the Serie A table after five games with a 3-1 home defeat to Fiorentina heaping the pressure on the ex-Lille, AS Roma and Marseille boss.

Now, reports have claimed Graham Potter is a genuine option for Napoli with the ink barely dry on press reports linking the ex-Brighton and Chelsea boss to the vacant Rangers manager’s job.
