Reported Rangers and Celtic target Will Dennis turns out for Kilmarnock at Ibrox as the conversation continues around his future.

The loan Bournemouth goalkeeper, 23, played the entire game for Derek McInnes’s side in Glasgow and shipped three goals as Rangers ran out comfortable winners.

With the match ending 3-1 to the Ibrox side, Will Dennis has certainly had better moments in a Kilmarnock shirt this season and is likely to have better ones elsewhere too.

But the match was a chance for Rangers fans to catch a glimpse of the young English goalkeeper, who has reportedly been attracting both sides of the Old Firm as of late.

Will Dennis plays v Rangers

Kilmarnock have been punching well above their weight this season and are well in the hunt for 3rd in the Scottish Premiership.

Having already defeated both Rangers and Celtic this season, Derek McInnes has Kilmarnock’s sights set on European football and at the centre of that is talented goalkeeper Will Dennis.

Coming through the youth ranks at Luton Town, Watford, and eventually AFC Bournemouth, the goalkeeper has spent the bulk of his young career out on loan in non-league England.

Given a chance in the Scottish Premiership with Kilmarnock, the stopper is certainly impressing and that’s led to reports linking Rangers and Celtic to Will Dennis.

Only Rangers stopper Jack Butland (12), Celtic’s Joe Hart, and Hearts’ Zander Clark (both 10) have more clean sheets than Will Dennis (8) this season.

Out of contract in the summer, it’s perhaps an easy link to make with the suggestion being Philippe Clement and co are “keeping tabs” on the stopper.

Can Kilmarnock goalkeeper rival Ibrox options?

Rangers are certainly well stocked in the goalkeeper position and we reckon there are more pressing transfer priorities than a new stopper at the moment.

Whilst Will Dennis is having a good season, Rangers have far-and-away the best goalkeeper in the league in the shape of ex-England international Jack Butland.

The former Crystal Palace goalkeeper has been amongst the signings of the season and was once again on inspired form in the win over Kilmarnock.

Scotland international hopeful Robby McCrorie is the club’s back-up choice and arguably the second best stopper in the league never mind at Ibrox behind Jack Butland.

Jon McLaughlin is out of contract in the summer but the former Scotland international is another safe pair of hands in the club’s squad.
