It’s all gone quiet as Rangers look to sign the players needed to upgrade a squad in desperate need of repair.

The same old faces have been seen flying to the Netherlands and it is only the five senior players whose contracts expired who have been moved on.

There have been plenty of rumours, however, as yet there has been nothing concrete for the likes of Cyriel Dessers, Todd Cantwell and James Tavernier.

Plenty of potential targets have been mentioned and this is the latest news on what is happening with each player who Philippe Clement has been linked with recently.

Adama Traore

The Mali winger was described as being at “advanced stages” in negotiating a deal to join Rangers.

Since the initial reports though, there has been very little other than claims that other clubs are now keen to land the flying machine.

He would represent the experience and proven player that fans have been crying out for.

Damian Garcia

The Uruguayan international has been linked with a move to Spain with Penarol in no rush to sell their star man.

Out of contract in December, Rangers could negotiate a pre-contract agreement despite reports suggesting that there is a chance he could extend his current deal to get his club a bigger fee when he leaves.

Garcia might only be 20-years old but he would be an immediate starter and one who could make the club a lot of money in the future.

Albion Rrahmani

Rangers News were told that Rapid Bucharest want £5m for their goalscorer in chief and have already secured a replacement striker to cover Rrahmani.

With Rangers having signed Hamza Igamane, it is looking increasingly like Rangers won’t sign another striker until Cyriel Dessers is sold to one of the many clubs considering a move.

Thomas Galdames

Looked like the perfect option for the left-hand side of Rangers defence being able to play in the centre or at left-back.

Clement’s interest is said to have “cooled” with the signing of Clinton Nsiala an obvious factor.

Would have to move someone like Ben Davies out to reconsider any move now.

Luca Langoni

Was initially linked in January, the Boca Juniors winger is not short of talent, however, he has spent a lot of time in the treatment room over the last two seasons.

Reports suggest that MLS is his most likely destination now for a fee in the region of £5m.

Relebohile Mofokeng

Like Traore, his name appeared, and it looked like a move could be imminent, instead, everything has gone quiet as the South African international’s star continues to rise.

Rangers might regret missing out if they don’t make an attempt to sign the talented teen this summer.

Nils Koppen has kept a pretty tight lid on recruitment so far and it will be interesting to see if any other names emerge over the coming days.

What is looking increasingly likely, is that Rangers squad is now at the stage where any new arrivals will have to be preceded by others being sold.

Much to the annoyance of Rangers fans everywhere.
