Rangers have been linked with a move to sign left back Owen Beck but the Liverpool talent is now living his dream at Anfield.
Rangers are poised to make signing number two of the January transfer window.
Nordsjaelland playmaker Mohamed Diomande is on the verge of a move to Ibrox and will join Fabio Silva in Glasgow.
Rangers may still want more new signings though and a left back should be a priority.
We have seen an outrageous number of left backs linked with a move to Rangers this month but one player looks unlikely to be joining…
Rangers target Owen Beck living his dream at Liverpool
Reports earlier in January indicated that Rangers were interested in landing Liverpool left back Owen Beck.
Beck spent the first half of the season on loan at Dundee and turned in a host of impressive performances during his time in Scotland.
The 21-year-old has been recalled by Liverpool and some wondered if his return to Anfield would be short-lived.
Rangers are certainly in the market for another left back and Beck could fit the bill after shining at Dundee.
However, Beck came on as a substitute in Liverpool’s 4-0 win at Bournemouth on Sunday.
That means that Beck has now played for two clubs already this season and won’t be able to join another this season.
A move to Ibrox appears to be off the cards now and Beck is seemingly loving life on Merseyside anyway.
Beck has taken to Instagram to state that making his Premier League debut for Liverpool – his boyhood club – was a ‘special moment’.
Beck added that this was a ‘dream come true’ for him, with his full focus seemingly on picking up more appearances for the Reds.
Scotland international Andrew Robertson is coming back from injury and Kostas Tsimikas shouldn’t be too far behind.
Beck may well be stuck as Liverpool’s third-choice as his only other possible move is to head back on loan to Dundee for the rest of the season.
That would keep Beck in the shop window and Rangers may well keep tabs on his situation – but he won’t be joining this month.
