Hamza Igamane is Rangers’ hottest prospect and the young Moroccan’s performances have not gone unnoticed in the Premier League.

Rangers unearthed the rough diamond in Moroccan capital Rabat and after a £1.7m move from FAR in the summer have set about polishing the 22-year-old’s clear talents.

Lashing in 13 goals for Rangers since breaking into the team at the end of November, Hamza Igamane was said to be interesting the likes of Spurs and Everton this January.

But now a report in the player’s homeland is claiming that it’s not just Ange Postecoglou or David Moyes who are interested in signing the young Morocco hopeful.

And one set of Premier League suitors in Newcastle United might just be on the look-out for a new talisman if Alexander Isak exit links are to be realised.

Hamza Igamane wanted in Premier League

Moroccan outlet Le Matin have been discussing Hamza Igamane’s form at Rangers and the striker being named January’s Scottish Premiership Player of the Month.

But the report also claims that no fewer than seven Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on the young Rangers striker.

Le Matin reckon that on top of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, Premier League sides Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Brighton, Brentford and Fulham are all interested in the striker.

The Moroccan outlet also believes that Hamza Igamane’s form at Rangers won’t be going unnoticed by the country’s national coach Walid Regragui ahead of March’s World Cup Qualifiers.

Morocco, who have won all three games so far in Group E, are set to face Niger (A) and Tanzania (H) as they look towards Mexico, Canada and the USA in 2026.

Igamane has previously spelled out his aim to play for Morocco in 2025.

Could Hamza Igamane replace Alexander Isak?

Whilst all seven of the Premier League clubs being linked to Hamza Igamane have substantial spending power, reports of Newcastle United interest will turn heads at Rangers.

The Magpies are backed by Saudi Arabian billions but could also be on the hunt for a new hitman come the end of the season.

Swedish striker Alexander Isak is on red-hot form and is part of the Newcastle United team who’ve just reached the English League Cup Final.

The former Real Sociedad hitman’s 19 goals are also attracting the likes of Arsenal, who according to the Daily Mail will have to pay over £115m to sign the striker.

That’s more than the British record £115m Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo and would certainly afford Newcastle the chance to take a gamble on Hamza Igamane.

Whatever the case, Rangers fans will just hope to enjoy Igamane whilst he’s here with Philippe Clement ‘confident’ Hamza will eventually bank the Gers a fortune.
