Rangers-linked Danilo only arrived in Rotterdam last summer, however, he isn’t considered first choice at the Eredivisie outfit, despite former sporting director Frank Arnesen singing his praises when he signed, according to Football Oranje.
In 2000 minutes, starting 40% of Feyenoord’s league games – roughly 22 full games in terms of minutes – Rangers target Danilo has managed to post 14 goals and four assists.
Ten goals in the league to help his side win the Eredivisie is a respectable return for the minutes he played.

What did Frank Arnesen say about Rangers target Danilo
Speaking on the Brazil Under-23 international’s arrival in 2022, ex-Feyenoord sporting director Frank Arnesen gave an insight into what they were expecting:
“An agile, fast striker like Danilo is a welcome addition to our roster. That he can make the transfer to Feyenoord free of charge is also a nice fact. We are hopeful that Danilo can show us what he is good at: being effective and threatening in the box and scoring goals.”
Coincidentally, this is exactly the profile of striker that Michael Beale described when he said he was looking to add something different to the attack this summer as he sets about replacing Alfredo Morelos.
Rangers are well stocked for creators but need someone who will be on the end of chances and, as the main man, Danilo could thrive under the adulation of 50,000 fans every other week.
James Bisgrove said that Rangers were “not holding back” this summer, signing Danilo would certainly back up that claim and be a real statement of intent ahead of a massive summer and even bigger season.
