Rangers winger Jordan Jones is set to join English League One club Wigan Athletic on loan, according to Will Unwin of the Guardian.
Jones featured on multiple occasions for the Gers during pre-season, turning out against Partick Thistle, Tranmere Rovers, Brighton and Real Madrid.
However, he didn’t grab his opportunities to impress and missed out on the matchday squad for Saturday’s Premiership opener against Livingston.
Now, Unwin claims that a loan exit to Wigan is imminent.
Jordan Jones will join Wigan on loan from Rangers, I am told.

This isn’t the first time Wigan have been mentioned in connection with Jones, with Football League World reporting late last month that the Latics, Sunderland, Ipswich Town and Blackpool were interested in him.
That report had suggested that Ipswich were favourites to land the Northern Ireland international, but it now looks as though he’s heading to the DW Stadium.
The winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, and Wigan have already snapped up Max Power and Charlie Wyke from the Black Cats this summer as they look to launch a bid for promotion.
However, when he didn’t convince when given opportunities in friendlies, an exit was always likely.
With the likes of Ryan Kent, Scott Wright, Fashion Sakala and Brandon Barker all ahead of him in the pecking order, a permanent departure would have been ideal for the Gers at this time.
However, if no cash offers were landing, a loan does move Jones off the wage bill temporarily with a view to him being sold on next summer.
