Rangers fans buzzing as Jordan Jones changes Twitter picture, bio also altered

Rangers fans have responded after Jordan Jones changed his profile picture on Twitter, with the player also later altering his bio.

Jones spent the second half of last season out on loan at Sunderland in EFL League One, scoring three goals and notching four assists in 21 appearances.

He impressed at the Stadium of Light with his pace and ability to produce the spectacular, so supporters were disappointed when he said farewell at the end of the season.

There was plenty of speculation about the Northern Ireland international’s future during his loan stint, with a host of Championship teams credited with interest [TEAMtalk].

However, that talk has died down recently and he is now back at Auchenhowie for pre-season.

The 26-year-old is under contract until 2023 and it appears that he believes his future lies at Ibrox.

That’s as he updated his profile picture on Twitter on Thursday afternoon to a photo in which he’s modelling the new Castore training gear during a running drill.

At that stage, Jones’ bio still listed him as a Sunderland and Northern Ireland player but that was subsequently updated, too, to reflect his return to Ibrox.

The winger has divided opinion during his time at Rangers but plenty of fans want to see him finally kick on and they responded positively to his social media activity.
