Rangers could consider making a move for an Erling Haaland-esque player should they want another striker after Lawrence Shankland.
Shankland is all set to be announced as the Light Blues’ first signing of the summer as Danny Rohl kickstarts his post-season rebuild.
However, Rangers have been linked with other forwards as well in recent days, so ruling out another number nine is premature at this stage.
Which of these strikers are Rangers expected to sell?
Lawrence Shankland's arrival will surely change things!
Rangers could consider move for Lorent Tolaj
According to the Daily Record, Rangers could make a move for Plymouth Argyle striker Lorent Tolaj this summer.
Despite links to Josh Windass, it’s understood that the Gers are not keen on signing the Wrexham forward.
Tolaj has been someone linked with a move to Ibrox in the past, and could once again pop onto their radar.

In case he does, it’s understood that it would cost around £5m to bring him to Glasgow in the coming weeks.
The 24-year-old was Argyle’s Player of the Season in the 2025/26 campaign as he found the back of the net on 22 occasions in all competitions.
As Plymouth failed to secure a play-off spot, the Gers can secure a deal for that price, or else it would have been a lot higher.
Given the fact that Tolaj is not included in Switzerland’s World Cup squad, Rangers could secure his transfer quickly without any delays.

Why is Tolaj likened to Erling Haaland?
Swiss Radio have compared Tolaj to Haaland not just in the manner of how they play, but also the fact that they both score plenty of goals.
The Swiss striker is also a tall and towering forward who’s known for his movement and finding himself in the right place at the right time.
Tolaj uses sharp off-the-ball movement to find space inside the penalty area and is known to strike the ball with power.
The 24-year-old uses his robust frame to hold off defenders and manages to successfully get his teammates into the game.
Much like Haaland, he thrives whenever he plays on the shoulder of the last defender.
