Rangers linked striker Fashion Sakala, who recently dropped a possible Ibrox transfer hint on social media, continued his strong goalscoring form for KV Oostende on Saturday.

The Gers have been linked with a pre-contract swoop for Sakala, with other big clubs like Anderlecht, Newcastle and West Ham all also reportedly interested [Glasgow Live].

Last week, he responded to a question about his future by suggesting that he could sign a new contract at KVO.

However, he also recently hinted at interest in a move to Ibrox on Instagram.

The Zambia international liked a comment from a fan urging him to move to Rangers, while a similar comment from a Celtic supporter went unliked.

The uncertainty over his future doesn’t appear to be affecting the 23-year-old’s performances, though, as he scored his third goal in three Belgian First Division matches on Saturday.

Following his brace against KV Kortrijk earlier in the month, he netted the equaliser as KVO came from behind to defeat Rangers’ Europa League Round of 32 opponents Royal Antwerp 2-1 away from home.

It was the pacy forward’s ninth strike of the season, ensuring he is averaging close to a goal every other game in the Belgian top flight.

The victory saw Oostende climb to fifth in the table, as they continue to impress despite only narrowly avoiding relegation last season.

The Gers’ Europa League rivals Antwerp remain third, but they have now lost eight times in the league and they continue to look vulnerable under new manager Franky Vercauteren.

Sakala isn’t the only striker Rangers are reportedly interested in, with a Liverpool player currently on loan in the Bundesliga also said to be on their radar
