In-demand reported Rangers target Fashion Sakala has dropped a possible Ibrox transfer hint on social media.
The Gers have been linked with a pre-contract move for the 13-cap Zambia international [Daily Record], who currently plays for Belgian First Division A side KV Oostende.
Several other big clubs have also been credited with an interest in the striker, including Anderlecht, West Ham and Newcastle [Glasgow Live].
He spoke out about his future earlier this week, hinting he could yet sign a contract extension and stay in Belgium by saying: “It won’t be difficult for KVO to keep me here.”
However, a recent piece of social media activity suggests he may be interested in a move to Rangers.
Sakala posted earlier this month to give thanks after a strong individual performance in a league fixture against Charleroi.
Underneath the post, one user commented “come to Rangers” and Sakala liked the comment.
It’s hardly confirmation that a deal is in the pipeline, but interestingly, another user’s comment which read “come to Celtic” went unliked.
Sakala was back in action for KVO at league leaders Club Brugge on Wednesday night but he failed to add to his tally of eight goals for the season, with his side falling to a 2-1 defeat.
The 23-year-old isn’t the only striker the Gers have been linked with this month, with a Liverpool loanee currently impressing on loan in the Bundesliga also reportedly on the club’s radar.
