Rangers-linked Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville grabs the headlines for Leeds United by scoring the winner in a 7-goal thriller against Premier League Bournemouth.

The 21-year-old speed merchant raced through to finish off a stunning comeback for Jesse Marsch’s side as the pressure continues to mount on the USA coach.

Leeds United had found themselves 3-1 down in the game after 48 minutes but rallied in the second half at Elland Road to turn the game around.

Crysencio Summerville – who joined Leeds from Feyenoord in 2020 amid links to Rangers – also netted the winner in the 1-0 win over Liverpool last week and came off the bench to score v Fulham in October.

The goal means the youngster has now netted in Leeds United’s last three Premier league matches.

It wasn’t the only Rangers link in the match either, with James Tavernier’s younger brother Marcus scoring in the match and assisting two goals.

Rangers-linked Crysencio Summerville finding Leeds United form

Whilst the lure of the Premier League was likely too big for the winger, Rangers fans might be left thinking what might’ve been with Crysencio Summerville.

The Gers were extensively linked during Steven Gerrard’s tenure by the likes of Voetbal International, but the winger opted to move to Leeds United.

Since then, Summerville has taken his time breaking into the Leeds United team and was linked with a move away from the club, with Rangers again linked in the summer alongside club partners HSV.

But persistence has been key for the young Netherlands youth international who now appears to be finding his rhythm with Leeds United in the Premier League.

Leeds United have needed something of a hero in recent weeks and Crysencio Summerville has stepped up to the plate with the Yorkshire club now up to 12th.

In total, Summerville has made 19 appearances for Leeds United and has now scored three goals for the club.

Meanwhile, one summer Rangers signing is already being linked with the Ibrox exit door.
