Rangers hold firm after Luis Palma bid transfer revelation

Rangers look like there are doing a lot of their work early, however, for Luis Palma, it might take a while yet.

The transfer window isn’t even open yet but, theoretically, that is the only stumbling block in that you have to wait for official registration, deals can still be arranged between clubs and players.

Rangers clearly want Luis Palma but with Giannis Chorianopolous reporting that Aris want €5m, there might be a bit to go yet.

Michael Beale has reportedly offered £2.5m for the 23-year old winger so there isn’t a huge gap in terms of a difference.

If a decent sum can be secured for Scott Wright who is a target for Preston then it could well cover the difference.

Rangers decision in Luis Palma pursuit

It is an interesting situation for Beale.

Going for a player this early suggests that they are a top target.

We’ve saved a lot of money with the two players confirmed and the two who are said to be imminent.

Aris are well within their rights to charge top whack for their star player, they also won’t be in a rush to sell.

The player himself has said that he will “1000%” be leaving the Greek outfit this summer but he has clearly been given assurances about his future.

Rangers need more firepower and Luis Palma’s 13 goals is the sort of return that an attacking midfielder should be getting for us.

It’s a lot of money to pay for a player who isn’t consistently proven himself at the highest level though and potential isn’t always realised.

Beale has spoken about being excited about this transfer window and how much he is being backed by the board, James Bisgrove also saying the clubs isn’t holding back – let’s see the club put their money where their mouth is.
