Your January 13 transfer window update. Rangers News delivers updates concerning Rabbi Matondo, Morgan Whittaker, Andreas Skov Olsen, Cyriel Dessers and Malik Tillman.

Matondo Rangers exit options

Rabbi Matondo has two potential exit options available to him this January, as revealed by Rangers News.

Serie A outfits Torino and Lecce are interested and are in the queue for the speedy winger, who has barely featured for Gers.

A loan deal is thought to be the most likely as it would be seen as ideal for all parties for Matondo to go out and play regularly.

But a future fee could be involved.

Burnley interest in Morgan Whittaker

Rangers have previously been linked with Plymouth winger Morgan Whittaker over several windows. That all seems to have tied down, possibly due to the Pilgrims’ high asking price.

Burnley were also interested before and look set to reignite that, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Championship side have reportedly submitted an offer to their divisional rivals as they bid to get a January deal done.

Skov Olsen could open Cerny door

A previously Gers-linked winger could now open the door for Vaclav Cerny to move to Ibrox permanently.

Danish wide man Andreas Skov Olsen was on Gers’ radar in recent years but could now move to Wolfsburg from Club Brugge, for between €10-15m.

An agreement is said to have been reached and that could mean Cerny finds it even tougher to get back in at his parent club.

Cagliari weigh up Cyriel Dessers

Cagliari are weighing up a swoop for Cyriel Dessers but must decide between him and Gaziantep’s David Okereke.

They are also considering Eldor Shomurodov of Roma, while Empoli are another club interested in Dessers, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Tillman cash boost

Rangers could be helped in their efforts to strengthen the squad with a further Malik Tillman windfall.

Gers have already benefited to the tune of £2.2million through their ex-loanee and could get some more.

Bayern inserted a £35million buyback close when selling him to PSV and, according to the Rangers Review, 10 per cent of that would be Ibrox-bound.
