Rabbi Matondo has been forced to waste away on the Rangers bench this season.
The Welsh winger has managed only eight appearances for the first-team this term including his surprising man of the match showing against Ross County back in August when he chipped in with two goals and as many assists.
That turned out to be a flash in the pan moment for the attacker and Gers have since been urged to ditch Matondo to free up January funds.
Rangers News can now exclusively reveal that the club are finally willing to sanction a loan switch for the 24-year-old after Norwich City missed out on Matondo last summer.

Rabbi Matondo has two clubs queueing for Rangers loan switch
RN understands two clubs in Serie A are already in the queue and showing interest in the form of Torino and Lecce.
The wide man has been criticised by fans at stages this campaign after Philippe Clement “got the call to keep Matondo wrong” and he has not yet repaid the manager’s faith.
Matondo has also been injured throughout most of the current season and only recently made a comeback for the Rangers B team alongside fellow perma-crock Oscar Cortes.
It is believed a six-month loan deal would be of interest to both Rangers and the player who is seeking more regular first-team football at this stage of his career.
Rangers News can also reveal that it is likely the Ibrox outfit would be looking to arrange a future fee option in any loan stint they agree to should Matondo perform on loan.
How much Matondo future fee would be worth to Rangers
And it is understood a fee of around £2million would be enough to land the former Schalke attacker on a permanent basis down the line.
We told recently how both Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers were both admirers of Matondo.
Rovers boss John Eustace was asked about Matondo interest after he signed Todd Cantwell from Ibrox and he was complimentary.
Asked last summer about realistic interest in Matondo – as well as Ryo Germain – Eustace said: “I think they are on the list along with 60 other players that the recruitment team have been looking at.
“They are, yes.”
