Rangers needed to add more quality in attack in this transfer window and in Fabio Silva, it looks as though Philippe Clement is being backed.
Danilo is expected to return in the new year but Kemar Roofe’s long-term problems leave Cyriel Dessers as the only fit striker for the Gers boss.
Rangers will be getting a more flexible striker in Fabio Silva but there could be a knock on effect for another member of the squad.

Rangers pursuit of Fabio Silva could be a problem for Kemar Roofe
Recent recruitment has meant that the lack of home grown options is inhibiting the number of players who can be picked for the Europa League.
Michael Beale made some strange decisions and you would like to think that pmayers like Leon Balogun and Ridvan Yilmaz will be included next time around.
One player who will probably have to make way, even if he is fit, is Roofe.
His availability is so unpredictable and Rangers will want to have someone who is more robust that they can rely on, someone like Fabio Silva.
With Danilo and Dessers capable of playing through the middle alongside Silva, the 21-year old Portuguese youth cap can provide competition there, on either flank and as a number 10.
Rangers should always be able to find space for a player who was valued at £35m only a few seasons ago.
Roofe had looked like the worst of his injury issues were behind him when he was available for an extended period at the beginning of the season.
Recovery from a short absence saw him earn a place in the starting XI only to break down again after just two touches and 15 minutes on the clock.
Rangers need more than that and Fabio Silva will, hopefully, provide more consistent availability as well as the sort of quality that saw Roofe finish our last title winning season as top goalscorer.
A repeat of that sort of form and end result wouldn’t go a miss from Silva.
