Rangers have broken their 18 hour transfer silence to finally confirm the loan transfer of Adam Devine to Kilmarnock on deadline day.

Rangers are certainly keeping their fans in suspense and have taken to X to confirm Adam Devine is set to complete a switch to Motherwell.

With news of the transfer breaking earlier in the day, as things stand this is the only confirmed Rangers transfer deal on deadline day.

The transfer confirmation comes a whole 18 hours after the club last sent an official communication, having previously plugged hospitality packages for the Scottish Cup clash with Ayr.

Rangers confirm Adam Devine deal

Whilst every Rangers fan will be wishing Adam Devine the very best at Motherwell, this isn’t exactly the transfer fans hoped the club would break their deadline day silence for.

Rangers have reportedly agreed a loan-to-buy deal for RC Lens winger Oscar Cortes, with all that is left to announce the player in Glasgow.

But an unexpected delay to this happening has Rangers fans worrying that the club are not going to secure the striker option that many believe the squad craves.

Rangers have lost Kemar Roofe, Danilo, and Abdallah Sima to long-term injury, whilst Sam Lammers has left Ibrox for Utrecht.

As things stand, Cyriel Dessers is the only out-and-out number 9 available for Rangers, with Fabio Silva capable of deputising in the position.

Transfer deadline day suspense in Glasgow

Whilst this is Rangers’ first official communication of deadline day, we don’t suspect it’ll be their last.

Manager Philippe Clement claimed the club would be working until the “final seconds” of the window to get deals done and it looks like everything is going down to the wire.

January is a notoriously difficult month to get business done and as things stand Rangers have already made two signings.

The aforementioned Fabio Silva joined on loan from Wolves until the end of the season, whilst the club has also signed Mohamed Diomande from FC Nordsjælland.

The situation with Lawrence Shankland continues to interest fans, with the deadline for signing a new Hearts contract having seemingly passed.
