The Lewis Ferguson-Rangers saga seems to be taking its twists and turns with each passing day.
Rangers are keen on Ferguson, but are aware that Bologna currently hold all the cards with regard to his exit.
Nicolas Raskin’s future is also up in the air, with the Belgium international looking more likely to leave than stay at Ibrox for next season.
Nicolas Raskin has been linked with a Rangers exit…
Rangers appear £10m shy of Lewis Ferguson’s valuation
Rangers may have to pay a bit more than the £17m that has been reported earlier to sign the Scotland international, according to Ibrox Noise.
It has been claimed that it will take around £25m to get the deal done as the Italian club have others interested in signing the 26-year-old as well.
In terms of a base fee, the Light Blues can only go as far as £15m to sign Ferguson, which is not expected to be sufficient for Bologna.
If Lewis Ferguson joins post the World Cup, who should Derek McInnes name the Rangers captain?
This is assuming Nicolas Raskin leaves Rangers…
The midfielder is their captain and key player, and as things stand, is not looking to force a move away this summer.
He still is to return for pre-season training following the World Cup, but is expected to do so in the coming days.
Following that, he is expected to decide on his future and will gauge all the options on the table.

Is Ferguson’s move to Ibrox now unlikely?
Rangers News understands that Ferguson has been made aware of the interest from his former club.
However, coming back to Scotland at this stage in his career is not the priority as he is in his prime and expects interest to rise following the World Cup.
He does hold a special connection to the club, but at the same time, he would want to do what is best for him.
Will you take Lewis Ferguson back at Rangers this summer?
Barry Ferguson has backed the move…
Also, there could be sides in Europe’s top five leagues that can offer him more wages than what the Ibrox outfit can, which may factor into his decision.
If Rangers do make big money from Raskin’s sale, then they may consider shelling out more than they previously have for Ferguson, but again, it majorly depends on the midfielder’s stance on returning.
