Million Manhoef has taken to Instagram after the announcement of Vitesse Arnhem’s latest signing piqued the interest of Rangers supporters.
The Eredivisie relegation strugglers have just announced the loan signing of Brighton teenager Adrian Mazilu, who has joined the Dutch club until the end of the season.
The addition of the young Romanian winger, 18, sparked chat online about Rangers and a potential move for Million Manhoef in the January window.
The Gers were named as frontrunners in the hunt for the Dutch U21 international, 22, and a potential £2.5m transfer right at the beginning of January.
But despite the chat about a potential exit – with Leicester City also strongly mentioned – Manhoef appeared to reaffirm his commitment to Vitesse in an Instagram message.
Million Manhoef sends Vitesse Instagram post
Taking to the social media platform, Million Manhoef shared a couple of images of himself in the Vitesse Arnhem kit with yellow and black dot emojis.
Interestingly, renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano responded to the post with three clapping emojis, something which has also been pounced on by Ibrox fans.
The winger is known to be highly-rated by Vitesse, with club chiefs reportedly unwilling to let Manhoef leave in this window because they fear it could consign them to relegation.
It’s not clear if the addition Adrian Mazilu is going to change that but it is interesting that the winger plays in the same position as the reported Rangers target.
Rangers January transfer hunt continues
Rangers have already added Wolves attacker Fabio Silva to their squad this January and it looks like there will be more to follow.
Ivorian midfielder Mohamed Diomande looks set to be the next addition, with the Ibrox side splashing out around £4.5m to bring the 22-year-old from FC Nordsjælland.
Attentions will then turn to who Rangers are looking to bring into the club next, with several other positions subject to much transfer reporting.
Whilst the striker berth is the most discussed amid links to Lawrence Shankland, left-back is another area of concern amid reports of Galatasaray interest in Ridvan Yilmaz.
Right wing has been a relentless area of concern for several seasons and once again it’s an area where transfer reports have linked the likes of Million Manhoef.
