Rangers have demanded €6m (£5.1m) from Galatasaray if they want to sign Turkish international left-back Ridvan Yilmaz.
The future of the 22-year-old left-back has been the subject of much speculation this window with the latest reports suggesting Gala have made Ridvan their “number one” target this January.
But amid reports of rejected bids and Rangers transfer links elsewhere, it appears Philippe Clement’s comments about the club’s transfer valuation are standing firm.
Rangers are open to selling – but only at the right price – with one Turkish journalist claiming that the Gers want over £5m to sell.
Rangers name Ridvan Yilmaz Galatasaray price
Speaking on Fútbol Arena, Turkish journalist Ali Naci Kucuk has been discussing Galatasaray’s reported interest in Ridvan Yilmaz.
Specifically, the journalist claims Rangers rejected an initial loan approach from Galatasaray, where they offered €500k up front with a potential €3m to come in the summer.
Rangers meanwhile swatted the offer away and want guarantees of as much as €6m to sign the talented young left-back, who has been at Rangers for 18 months.
Rangers paid Istanbul club Besiktas an initial £3.4m to sign Ridvan Yilmaz back in the summer of 2022, with the deal potentially rising to £5m.
The journalist also claims that Galatasaray are looking to ship some players out of their squad before they can finance such a move.
Ibrox left-back transfer links continue
As the transfer window approaches its final week, Rangers fans will be keeping a close eye on any Galatasaray links to Ridvan Yilmaz.
With Verona also strongly linked earlier in the window, those links to Italy have gone quiet after the Serie A side opted to move elsewhere.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement is relaxed about the situation, with the Ibrox boss clear the club will only sell if a move is right for them.

With Ridvan also fully committed to the task at hand at Rangers, there are no internal forces pushing for a move out of the club.
It means that it’s on Galatasaray to put their money where their mouth is with Rangers having a firm valuation of Ridvan Yilmaz and no club yet to match it.
